Jackie has been a professional horsewoman for over 30 years. Today, she is both the owner of and head trainer for Jack MacDonald Stables.
Located 30 miles north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jack MacDonald Stables is a premiere horse facility with 15 stalls, 3 outdoor paddocks and an indoor arena.
Jackie is the consummate horsewoman. She is involved with all aspects her client’s horses, from feeding to training to showing. Jackie is as comfortable breaking a three year old as competing with a seasoned show horse. A fabulous instructor, Jack MacDonald Stables is filled with both junior and adult riders eager to learn from and with Jackie.
Jackie comes from a family of horse oriented people. Her father, Jack MacDonald, was a professional horseman. He originally specialized in hunters and jumpers. It was he who started Jack MacDonald Stables and from where Jackie learned and honed her training techniques. Jack MacDonald was one of the original founders of the Arabian Horse Association and was on the original Pennsylvania Arabian Horse Association board. From the time Jackie was a young women, she has been working with all breeds of horses, including Arabians and half Arabians.
Having been raised around all different breeds, Jackie understands and is comfortable with all types of horses. Because she has been working primarily with Arabian horses for many years, Jackie knows and understands their intelligence and fiery natures. This, combined with her innate teaching and training abilities makes Jackie, and Jack MacDonald Stables, the right combination for anyone looking to learn to ride, brush up on their skills, have their horse trained, or just enjoy riding.
